Een gezond lichaam geeft alle reden tot opgewektheid. Omgekeerd geldt het zelfde: wie ziek is, verliest zijn goede humeur. Vooral mensen die een slepende ziekteperiode doormaken, krijgen ook meer last van negatieve emoties. Zij zijn bang, onmachtig en teleurgesteld. Het lichaam is niet meer te vertrouwen.
En met alle onzekerheid vandien, moet de patiënt maar afwachten of de dokter hem kan genezen. Ziek en boos ervaart de patiënt zijn gekrompen wereldje als onrechtvaardig. Zelfs de allerbeste vrienden veranderen in valse loeders. Deze zijnstoestand van de patiënt verklaart ook waarom niemand het goed kan doen in zijn ogen. Toont u bijvoorbeeld oprechte belangstelling (‘goh, vertel eens, werkt de chemokuur al een beetje’) dan zal de patiënt denken: ‘wat een stomme vraag, ik voel me hartstikke beroerd en dat moet ik zeker vrolijk doen enkel en alleen omdat hij het slechte nieuws niet kan verdragen.’ Houdt u zich een beetje op de vlakte, maar met een ondertoon van medeleven (‘goh, best moeilijk allemaal, hou je het een beetje vol’), dan zal de patiënt denken: ‘wat een slap geouwehoer, ik ben misschien wel ziek, maar niet zielig, alsof ik al met één been in het graf lig.’ Wilt u troost geven door eigen ervaringen te vertellen (‘goh, kan me nog heel goed herinneren hoe zwaar het was toen ik moest herstellen van mijn infarct’), dan zal de patiënt denken: ‘nu ben ik degene die een beetje onvervalste aandacht verdient en dan trekt iedereen toch nog de aandacht naar zichzelf toe; wat zijn mensen toch egocentrisch.’ Mocht u goedbedoelend de aandacht een beetje willen afleiden met iets allerdaags (de lente is al lekker vroeg, ik heb al nieuwe tuinstoelen gekocht’), dan zal de patiënt denken: ‘wat een oppervlakkig gezever, duidelijk iemand die totaal contactgestoord is.’ Komt het in u op om concreet hulp aan te bieden (bel gerust; als ik iets voor je kan doen, voor je koken, halen of brengen, zeg het maar’), dan zal de patiënt denken: ‘ja, ja niet echt zin hebben om met mij een gesprek te voeren, en het eigen schuldgevoel afkopen met een stom klusje, nou daar pas ik voor’. Stuurt u alleen een kaartje of een bosje bloemen met het idee dat de patiënt eerst wel genoeg aan zichzelf heeft, dan zal hij denken: ‘leuk gebaar, maar even echt wat moeite doen door langs te komen is kennelijk teveel; vreselijk, wat is de maatschappij toch verhard.’
Hooguit is provocatief nog een alternatief. Stel vragen als ‘zullen we jouw dokter aanklagen’, ‘is het niet tijd om je testament te herzien’ of ‘hoeveel zogenaamde vrienden heb je op de zwarte lijst gezet’. Want, samen wraak nemen op een onrechtvaardige wereld, geeft het zware gemoed nog een beetje verlichting.

The gift cards for play store are so cool, they comes in various colors and designs, with various animations on the gift card makes it really a nice thing to gift someone. I am thinking of gifting a google play gift card to my game loving brother, he always downloads and play games from play store for his android phone.
